Designed to provide a considered balance of heating and everyday functionality, Rutland London's heated utility racks feature integrated hooks alongside an Italian column radiator insert, providing useful hanging space together with generous heat output. The Greenwich brings these practical elements together within a carefully proportioned brass framework.
Handmade to order in our family-owned factory in Hampshire, England, the Greenwich features high-quality 32mm diameter DZR brass tube together with substantial 75mm brass wall and floor plates. The combination of handcrafted brasswork and an Italian column radiator insert creates a distinctive piece of functional heating designed for demanding interior environments.
The Greenwich is supplied with three hooks as standard, with additional hooks available on request. If you require hooks to be positioned on a lower bar, for example to make them more accessible to children, please contact our office when ordering.
The Greenwich Heated Utility Rack can be operated directly from a central heating system or as a standalone electric radiator where conventional pipework or plumbing installation is limited. Please note, however, that this product should only be installed on a closed circuit system and we do not recommend fitting it to a salt-softened water system unless otherwise agreed with your installer. The Greenwich cannot be fitted to a domestic hot water system.
For year-round operation, we recommend combining the two heating configurations in a dual fuel arrangement, allowing the heated utility rack to provide warmth independently of the central heating system when required.
The Greenwich is available to purchase online in Polished (Unlacquered) Brass. This is a living finish which will naturally age and develop a patina over time, with the rate and extent of patination dependent on the environment in which the product is installed.
The integrated column radiator insert is finished using a durable aerospace-grade paint coating. Bespoke insert colours can also be accommodated, including gloss or satin finishes and colours matched or closely coordinated with popular paint brands such as Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Paint & Paper Library.
