With its elegant raised back, traditional ball & claw feet and refined roll top, the Waterhouse Freestanding Cast Iron Bath captures the enduring character of classical English bathroom design. Its distinctive single-ended slipper profile creates a graceful silhouette while providing a comfortable reclining position for an indulgent bathing experience.
The Waterhouse has been designed with versatility in mind. Its beautifully proportioned form allows this traditional cast iron slipper bath to sit comfortably within both generous principal bathrooms and more considered spaces where the freestanding bath remains an important feature of the interior.
Manufactured from high-quality cast iron before being individually finished by hand in England, the Waterhouse combines substantial construction with the individual character associated with traditional cast iron manufacturing. The interior features a durable vitreous enamel coating, while an end-positioned overflow complements the bath's single-ended configuration.
Depending upon the requirements of the project, the Waterhouse can be specified with or without tap holes, providing flexibility when coordinating the bath with deck-mounted, wall-mounted or freestanding bath taps. This versatility allows the Waterhouse to work across both traditionally influenced and more transitional bathroom interiors.
The exterior of the Waterhouse is finished using a durable aerospace-grade paint coating, with a matt finish providing a refined and understated appearance. Alternative satin and gloss finishes can also be specified, together with colours selected to closely complement leading interior paint collections including Farrow & Ball, Little Greene and Paint & Paper Library.
The extensive choice of exterior colour provides considerable freedom when incorporating the Waterhouse into an individually designed bathroom. Neutral tones can complement natural stone and traditional sanitaryware, while deeper or more expressive colours can transform the freestanding bath into a striking focal point within the wider interior.
For luxury villas, private residences, hotels and interior design projects throughout the UAE and wider Middle East, the Waterhouse offers a distinctive combination of traditional English styling, substantial cast iron construction and extensive colour choice. Its elegant slipper shape is particularly effective in interiors where classical detailing is balanced with carefully selected contemporary materials and finishes.
Traditional cast iron manufacturing creates a product with an inherently individual character. Minor surface undulations, pitting, burrs and other casting marks may therefore be visible beneath the painted or enamelled surfaces. These characteristics are a natural consequence of the casting and finishing processes and should not be considered defects or warranty matters, but rather inherent characteristics of an authentically manufactured cast iron bath.
Due to the nature of the casting process, a dimensional tolerance of approximately ±20mm should be allowed when planning the installation. Cast iron baths are exceptionally substantial and can, in some instances, exceed 200kg in weight, so site access, handling, floor construction and final positioning should be carefully considered prior to delivery.
