Combining distinctive Black Ceramic shower controls with the refined proportions of the Lanark hand shower, the Thornton Black Ceramic Lever & Lanark Concealed Shower Set from Rutland London provides an elegant and versatile two-outlet shower arrangement for luxury bathroom interiors. Bringing together an overhead shower rose and separate hand shower within a concealed installation, the Thornton balances traditional detailing with a clean and carefully considered overall appearance.

Manufactured from high-quality brass before being carefully prepared and finished by skilled craftsmen in England, the Thornton brings together precision-engineered components from across Rutland London's collection of luxury shower brassware. The combination of Black Ceramic detailing and beautifully hand-finished metalwork creates a timeless aesthetic, while the slimline Lanark handset introduces a more restrained element to the overall arrangement.

At the centre of the Thornton is the Chesterton Two Outlet Black Ceramic Lever Concealed Shower Valve, distinguished by its contrasting Black Ceramic controls, central crosshead handwheel and carefully proportioned brass surround. With the principal valve mechanism concealed within the wall, only the decorative controls remain visible, creating an elegant installation against marble, natural stone or decorative tiling.

The overhead shower is supported by Rutland London's Bristol 380mm Fixed Wall Arm, providing a generous projection from the finished wall. A shower rose can then be selected in the client's preferred style and size, allowing the appearance and proportions of the overhead shower to be tailored to the individual bathroom.

The second outlet serves the Lanark Handset, distinguished by its slimline, precision-engineered brass handle. Its restrained all-metal construction provides an elegant contrast with the Black Ceramic detailing of the Chesterton valve while allowing the selected handcrafted metal finish to remain particularly prominent.

The Lanark is accompanied by Rutland London's 1500mm Alma Shower Hose and integrated Wall Outlet Parking Bracket. Combining the water connection and dedicated resting position for the handset within a single coordinated fitting creates a particularly neat installation and reduces the number of individual fittings required on the finished shower wall.

Unlike a slide rail arrangement, the Wall Outlet Parking Bracket positions the Lanark handset at a dedicated location within the shower space. This creates a cleaner and more architectural wall treatment while retaining the convenience and versatility of a separate hand shower.

Together, these components form a sophisticated two outlet concealed shower system, combining the generous showering experience of an overhead rose with the convenience of a separate hand shower. Concealing the principal plumbing components also allows natural marble, decorative stone and luxury tiling to remain visually prominent, with the Black Ceramic controls and hand-finished brass components providing carefully considered points of detail.

The Thornton is intended for installation on high-pressure plumbing systems operating at 1.0 bar and above. Water pressure, plumbing configuration and suitability for the proposed installation should therefore be confirmed by the project's plumbing professional prior to specification and installation.

Each Thornton is finished to order, and every shower valve undergoes thorough wet and dry testing prior to despatch to ensure it meets Rutland London's own standards before leaving the factory.

For luxury villas, private residences, hotels and interior design projects throughout Dubai, the wider UAE and Middle East, the Thornton provides an elegant concealed shower solution where overhead and hand shower functionality are required within a clean and traditionally detailed installation.

The Thornton can be specified across Rutland London's portfolio of 40+ handcrafted finishes, spanning Brass, Bronze, Nickel, Copper and Gold. This extensive selection allows the Chesterton valve, wall arm, shower rose, Lanark handset, hose and wall fitting to coordinate with taps, mirrors, heated towel rails and other visible metalwork throughout the bathroom.

The Thornton Black Ceramic Lever & Lanark Concealed Shower Set is available to purchase online in Polished (Unlacquered) Brass. As a living finish, Polished (Unlacquered) Brass will naturally age and develop a distinctive patina over time, with the rate and extent of this change dependent upon the environment in which the shower is installed.
